Nathanael Stewart
Dragflicking Specialist
'Than' has been playing hockey since his debut in the juniors and has gone from strength to strength in his career so far. Having debuted for Australia in the 21 Burras, where he attended the Youth Olympics and also captained the side, he later completed a stint in London in the Premier Mens Team Liverpool.
Now, you can see him in the Mens Sydney Premier League, as well as for the NSW Pride in the Hockey One League. His specialty skill is the dragflick, where he not only learned some fundamentals of this skill during his overseas stint in London, but also taught others how to perfect it as well. Now, Flick are thrilled to be able to offer his dragflick prowess to our Flick community of athletes in small group sessions. Nathanael is an encouraging coach who engages with his athletes to ensure they too, can learn this skill from the basics through to the power and accuracy of it. He is currently coaching our Specialised Dragflicking Sessions, which are catered for athletes over 13 years. |
"I can't believe I can actually dragflick a ball now. I never thought I would be able to do it, but Than made it so easy to learn how..." - Kye, Junior Athlete
